Zabiha & Slaughter

Why Doesn't HMS Accept Machine Slaughter?

Answered by Halal Monitoring Services Updated

The full answer

Zabiha is an intentional act of slaughter.

Among the concerns with automated poultry slaughter are whether each individual bird receives the required cut and whether Allah's name is properly pronounced for each individual slaughter.

An automated blade processing thousands of birds is not treated by HMS as equivalent to individual hand Zabiha.
