Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the services provided by Halal Monitoring Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to certifying and monitoring hand-slaughtered Halal meat in accordance with the principles of Zabiha Halal. By utilizing these services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Certification and Monitoring
- Eligibility for Certification:
To receive certification, businesses must provide accurate and complete information about their operations, including but not limited to business ownership, physical addresses, processing and storage capacities, and compliance with Halal standards.
- Compliance Obligations:
Certified entities must adhere to all guidelines set forth by HMS, including maintaining segregation between Halal and non-Halal products, and cooperating with regular inspections conducted by HMS.
- Free Service:
All certification and monitoring services are provided free of charge to ensure accessibility for all Muslim communities across the US.
- Liability:
HMS is not liable for any losses, damages, or inconveniences arising from the failure of certified entities to comply with Halal standards.
Use of Information
- Confidentiality:
HMS will treat all collected business information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.
- Data Usage:
The data provided during the certification process will be used solely for evaluation and certification purposes. HMS may publish certified entities’ names on its website and promotional materials to increase awareness about Halal certified products.
Changes to Terms
HMS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. All changes will take effect immediately upon being published on the HMS website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which HMS operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
