Has HMS certified Chick-fil-A?
HMS does not currently certify Chick-fil-A. HMS has not inspected the supply chain behind the chicken served at Chick-fil-A, so HMS is not in a position to confirm that it is Zabiha Halal.
Why HMS cannot vouch for it
HMS works to one principle: we certify only what we check. Meat is Halal only when the animal is a permissible species and was slaughtered by valid hand Zabiha with Bismillah pronounced for each individual animal. A sign in a window, a label inside a delivery app or word of mouth does not establish any of that. HMS certification is granted to an individual location rather than to a company name, so a Chick-fil-A restaurant would appear in the HMS certified directory if it were ever certified and currently compliant.
Suppliers, managers and menus change, which is why HMS relies on continued monitoring and surprise inspections rather than a single inspection at the beginning. A source that seemed acceptable last year may not be the same source serving you today.

The Prophet ﷺ gave us the rule for exactly this situation:
“Leave that which causes you doubt for that which does not cause you doubt.”
Our advice is clear: avoid Chick-fil-A until its Halal status has been verified. What you eat becomes part of your body and of your worship, and no meal is worth risking your deen for. Eat only where the claim has actually been checked. Find an HMS Certified place near you and choose HMS Certified only.
