Does HMS certify Krispy Kreme?
Not currently. Krispy Kreme is not HMS certified, and HMS has not reviewed the doughnuts and fillings sold at Krispy Kreme or the way they are prepared. HMS cannot confirm that they meet HMS requirements.
Why HMS cannot vouch for it
We certify only what we check. Away from meat, the Halal question usually sits in the small print: gelatin, natural flavors, extracts made with alcohol, enzymes and shared equipment. natural flavors and alcohol in food explain what needs verifying, and any item containing meat still needs valid hand Zabiha slaughter with Bismillah pronounced for each animal.
If a Krispy Kreme product or store were certified, it would appear in the HMS certified directory with the scope of that certification.
