Does HMS certify Zaxby's?
Not at present. Zaxby's is not on the HMS certified list, and HMS has never inspected the sourcing, storage or preparation behind the chicken served at Zaxby's. HMS therefore cannot confirm that it meets the Zabiha standard.
Why that matters
HMS certifies only what it checks. Halal meat requires a permissible species slaughtered by valid hand Zabiha, with Bismillah pronounced over each animal, supplied through a chain that HMS has approved and continues to monitor. Assumption, habit and popularity are not evidence. Read when chicken actually counts as Halal and what a staff assurance proves before you decide.
Because certification belongs to a location and not to a brand name, any certified Zaxby's branch would be visible in the HMS certified directory.
HMS certification is also time limited, so even a certified business has to keep meeting the conditions it was granted under. Check that the entry you are relying on is current rather than trusting a photograph of a certificate or an old social-media post.

The Prophet ﷺ gave us the rule for exactly this situation:
“Leave that which causes you doubt for that which does not cause you doubt.”
Our advice is clear: avoid Zaxby's until its Halal status has been verified. What you eat becomes part of your body and of your worship, and no meal is worth risking your deen for. Eat only where the claim has actually been checked. Find an HMS Certified place near you and choose HMS Certified only.
